# Creative Process. Evolution.

My creative process has been evolving gradually in the past year.

~ I am thinking about a little piece of physics, and how it is described with math.

~ Then I am creating a SageMath notebook (plus custom code) that outputs a set of functions as parametric curves in a three-dimensional space. Here, diffraction patterns for visible light are stacked upon each other, and weighted with Planck’s distribution function for blackbody radiation at the temperature corresponding to sunlight.

~ The goal is to create a ‘fabric’ of ‘threads’ or ‘wire loops’.

~ I look at the 3D structure from different perspectives, zoom in and out. I screenshot selected results.

~ I juxtapose it with images / drawings / formulas to create a collage. This is the step I’ve only added most recently – in this case I was intrigued by Isaac Newton’s illustrations of his 1704 book Opticks (Public domain).

This was a recent Twitter thread of mine, adorned with my images exhibited here. I will use the tweets as seeds for poetry (and re-use the images).

I am using my dialogue approach to Found Poetry. I had once practiced with my favorite Feynman quote. I am searching for each phrase of mine with Google, then pick a phrase from the first website in the search results (bold italic font). This found snippet is sort of a ‘response’ – not on purpose, but it always turns out that way.
